Job description

Full Time Facilities Manager for Westmoreland Country Club!

Ideal candidates are analytical problem solvers with extensive knowledge of the care, operation, and maintenance of the entire facility, grounds upkeep, and contracted services such as trash, elevator, boiler, HVAC, and window cleaning. The facilities manager will lead the onsite team of technicians and maintenance personnel. Previous supervisory experience is required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and maintenance, ensuring cleanliness of the entire facility.
  • Manage contracts and contracted services related to facility and grounds maintenance.
  • Oversee operation of mechanical and power equipment used in maintenance.
  • Coordinate exterior property cleaning and maintenance per company standards.
  • Implement policies and procedures for the Building Maintenance and Facilities Department, ensuring compliance with all quality standards.
  • Handle interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining staff; address complaints and resolve issues.
  • Monitor business volume forecasts and plan staffing, productivity, costs, and expenses accordingly.
  • Manage department team members, including assistant maintenance technicians, cleaners, laundry staff, and housepersons.
  • Ensure effective onboarding and ongoing training for staff.
  • Maintain high service standards to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate policy and procedural updates to the team.
  • Ensure regular and reliable attendance.
  • Conduct staff meetings and foster team communication.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent experience. Preference for degrees in diesel mechanics, auto mechanics, or small engines.
  • Valid driver’s license and relevant mechanical/licenses (e.g., boiler, HVAC).
  • Ability to read and speak English to perform job duties and communicate effectively with staff and guests.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent use of hands.
  • Regular standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds; push or pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Work near moving mechanical parts, sharp objects, fumes, and airborne particles.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Moderate noise level.
  • Work on weekends and holidays.
