Job summary

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to join our Buildings and Grounds team in Willard, OH. This role performs routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and records maintenance activities to ensure facility operations run smoothly.

Starting rate is $21.25/hr with a $2.00/hr differential for 2nd/3rd shifts; rotating 6-week shifts (7AM–3PM, 3PM–11PM, 11PM–7AM). The position offers benefits including Medical, Dental Vision, 401K, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry 20-50 pounds.
• Proven maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems preferred.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks for buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, and HVAC units as needed.
• Paint, patch, and maintain walls, ceilings, and floors.
• Maintain outdoor areas, including landscaping and snow removal.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
