Lakeside Book Company is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to join our Buildings and Grounds team in Willard, Ohio. The position involves routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure smooth facility operations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, physical ability to lift 20–50 lbs, and familiarity with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Rotating shifts with 2nd/3rd shift differential are offered along with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry 20-50 pounds.
• Proven maintenance experience or related field.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems preferred.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks for buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, and HVAC units as needed.
• Paint, patch, and maintain walls, ceilings, and floors.
• Maintain outdoor areas, including landscaping and snow removal.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
