Job summary

LOOS & CO., INC. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to install, maintain, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair stationary industrial machinery and equipment. The role requires reading blueprints and performing preventive maintenance to ensure uptime.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, a $2.50 shift differential, and comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) matching. Candidates must be able to work in Pomfret, CT.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical and equipment experience in an industrial environment preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals and specifications.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies, housekeeping, quality standards and procedures.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics for machines.
• Install, align, dismantle and move machinery and equipment.
• Inspect machinery for irregularities and malfunctions.
• Maintain power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum systems.
• Operate welders, lathes and grinders to fabricate parts.
• Lubricate and perform maintenance on machines.
• Assemble machinery prior to installation and perform preventive maintenance.
