Sunrise Senior Living in Naperville, IL is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep the community safe, clean, and well‑functioning for residents, families, and staff.

You will perform tasks from basic repairs to preventive maintenance, support HVAC and mechanical systems, follow safety standards, and assist with suite make‑ready projects while driving safety and day‑to‑day operations.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
• Support carpet and floor care as needed
• Assist with suite "make-ready" preparation
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
• Drive community vehicle as assigned
