Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Massachusetts is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our community safe, clean, and well‑functioning for residents, families, and team members.

You will complete maintenance tasks, perform basic repairs, assist with painting and refurbishing, support HVAC and safety checks, make‑ready suites, and follow OSHA and infection control standards. Pay range is $18.35–$23.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
• Support carpet and floor care as needed
• Assist with suite “make-ready” preparation
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
• Drive community vehicle as assigned
