Job summary

Beacon Behavioral Support Services is seeking a part-time Maintenance Repair role in Crowley, Texas. The job focuses on general facility maintenance, equipment upkeep, and safety enforcement within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include processing work orders, ensuring safe facilities, coordinating with departments, and participating in emergency planning and safety training. Physical duties include bending, lifting, painting, and ladder work to maintain safe surroundings.

Qualifications

• Essential knowledge, skills and experience of general facility maintenance.
• Proven technical and physical skills such as operating a wet/dry vac, painting, and able to get up and down a ladder.
• Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions. Physical ability to perform job that requires bending, stretching and lifting moderate to heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Process work orders and provide preventative maintenance of non-clinical equipment.
• Support quality improvement to assure a safe environment of care.
• Coordinate services with other departments to ensure residents' plan of care and equipment availability.
• Prioritize work orders with administrative staff.
• Maintain equipment safely to prevent injuries to patients or others.
• Maintain hospital flooring through cleaning, buffing and waxing as required.
• Assess and initiate interim life safety measures.
• Interpret and enforce Life Safety Code.
• Conduct periodic safety and hazard surveys for code violations and unsafe practices.
• Participate in hospital safety training.
• Assist with other duties and special projects as requested.
• Prepare memos and reports on Safety Practices to second shift for continuous communication.
• Participate in emergency management planning across all phases.
