Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair Beacon homes to keep them safe, functional, and compliant with all policies and regulations.

You will work on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and safety systems, respond to work orders, inspect facilities for hazards, assist with basic carpentry and grounds care, and coordinate with external vendors when specialized repairs are required.

Qualifications

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
Troubleshoot issues to restore function efficiently.
Adhere to safety policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and facilities (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, safety systems, etc.).
Ensure grounds are free of trash and debris.
Respond to work orders and emergency maintenance requests promptly.
Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs.
Assist with basic carpentry, painting, flooring, and general repairs.
Maintain grounds including snow removal and landscaping as needed.
Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs.
Document maintenance activities in logs or work order systems.
