Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to maintain a hospital campus and outpatient facilities in Temple, TX. This hands-on role covers preventive maintenance, small to mid-size building systems, and response to issues across a healthcare campus.

You will work first shift training Mon-Fri, then transition to a fixed first shift rotating Wed-Sun, ensuring safe, compliant operation of critical infrastructure in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of job-related experience or combination of experience and education.
• Able to meet physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs or more.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in applying work.
• Good communication to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities across a large healthcare campus including a hospital and clinics.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct routine inspections to diagnose problems and perform timely repairs per codes and safety rules.
• Complete work orders accurately using tracking/documentation systems.
• Respond to emergency maintenance tickets and system failures promptly.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring operating efficiency of building systems.
