Job summary

Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability of facility systems. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with on-call duties every fourth week, reporting to the Director of Plant Operations.

The position requires physical stamina and ability to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building systems. Benefits include healthcare and a 401(k), with on-site responsibilities in a demanding healthcare

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on building systems.
• Respond to on-call shifts once every four weeks.
• Climb ladders and stairs as required for inspections.
• Move, lift and carry objects safely to perform repairs.
• Stand and walk for extended periods during duties.
• Operate and maintain mechanical equipment with care.
• Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance team and staff.
• Identify and report potential hazards and repair needs.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
