Job summary

The City of Lewisville is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform general, preventative, and corrective maintenance for city buildings and facilities, including basic HVAC, electrical, and plumbing tasks, and assist in preparing for public events.

Work hours are Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM or other shifts with on-call rotations and possible evenings, weekends, or holidays. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, plus a valid Texas Driver’s License Class C.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six (6) months of experience in a skilled building and/or construction trade.
• Must possess a valid State of Texas Driver’s License Class “C” and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs general, preventative, and corrective maintenance for City buildings and facilities as assigned.
• Assists in preparations for large events (e.g., Western Days, Christmas Lighting ceremony, July 4th Celebration).
• Subject to on-call 24 hours for emergencies and respond as necessary.
