Job summary

Eastview Manor Care Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform a range of upkeep tasks across the facility, from painting and basic carpentry to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC support. You will respond to work orders, perform inspections, and help keep equipment and common areas safe and orderly.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic knowledge of facility systems, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general maintenance duties including painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
• Respond promptly to work orders and maintenance requests.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Help ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety and building codes.
• Maintain clean and organized maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Assist with emergency repairs and after-hours on-call maintenance as needed.
• Support seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, and pest control.
