Job summary

Extended Care is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Assistant to ensure residents receive high-quality care by performing repairs, scheduling contractors, monitoring facility systems, and conducting routine maintenance. You will rely on your skills, knowledge, and attention to detail to ensure resident comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, maintaining grounds and equipment, and keeping records.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders assigned by the Maintenance Director, including changing light bulbs, AC filters, painting, plumbing, light carpentry, fixing sheetrock, and other maintenance duties.
• Assist with maintenance of facility areas, including grounds, fences, parking areas, furniture, appliances, and HVAC systems.
• Maintain and repair service equipment, power tools, and kitchen equipment.
• Keep preventative maintenance records and utilize a work order tracking system.
• Conduct daily inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment.
• Identify and resolve potential safety hazards to protect residents, visitors, and staff.
