Job summary

Astera Cancer Care in Northern NJ is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine inspections of premises and equipment and handle basic office repairs.

You will oversee contractors, assist with relocations, and ensure tools and supplies are available; must have a valid driver’s license and pass background check. This role offers pay of $30–32/hr and a comprehensive benefits package.

Core Responsibilities

• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.


• Handling basic office repairs and maintenance.

• Responding to maintenance service requests.


• Repairing/assembling office equipment, furniture, as necessary.


• Assist with relocations, office openings, and shuttling equipment/supplies between locations.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of electric, plumbing, painting, and general product assembly.


• Knowledge of the safe use of hand and power tools.


• Basic troubleshooting skills of general office repairs and Maintenance


• Strong organizational and follow‑up skills.


• Attention to detail & proactive.


• Professional presentation and attitude.


• Ability to maintain focus while working individually and understand when to ask for assistance.


• Strong time management skills.


• Driver's License/clean driving record

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

Reports into the Operations Department.

Qualifications

Pay Range:

$30/hr - $32/hr

The above reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
