Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking an experienced facilities maintenance professional to keep buildings, grounds, equipment, and utilities safe and efficient. The role focuses on meeting customer needs and upholding our culture of WE.

Location is on-site with a full-time schedule; duties include responding to maintenance calls, performing preventive repairs, and supporting vendor PMs. Healthcare environment experience is preferred, with a strong safety mindset and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in maintenance trades.
• Licensed boiler room operator preferred.
• Licensed bed mechanic and journeyman experience preferred in healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

• Responds to unscheduled, routine and emergency maintenance calls.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on facility systems and equipment.
• May include HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting, and Mechanical systems.
• Assist outside vendors performing PMs during your shift.
• Work on construction and installation projects as required; other duties as assigned.
• Perform daily facility rounds for safety and compliance.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call schedules as needed.

Job Summary: Maintain buildings, grounds, equipment, and utilities to ensure safe and efficient operation of Facilities. Ensure the needs of customers are met and adheres to the Culture of WE.

Position Responsibilities

• Responds to unscheduled, routine and emergency maintenance calls.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on facility systems and equipment.
• May include but not limited to: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting and Mechanical systems as required.
• Assist outside vendors who are performing PM’s during your work shift.
• Works on construction and installation projects as required as well as any other duties as assigned.
• Performs daily rounding within the Facility for safety and compliance purposes.
• Responds to emergency calls and works on-call schedules as needed (either during or outside of regular working hours). This includes but is not limited to snow removal, utility failures, disaster response, fire drills, etc.
• Complete documentation (work orders, logbooks, round log sheets) to reflect work performed.

Position Qualifications

Required Experience:

• General mechanic with 10+ years' experience in maintenance Tradesperson (working in trade as licensed plumber, licensed electrician, licensed in HVAC, or carpenter) with up to 10 years' experience in trade/maintenance
• Licensed boiler room operator with up to 10 years' experience in trade/maintenance
• Licensed bed mechanic with up to 10 years' experience in trade/maintenance
• Journeyman with up to 20 years' experience in trade/maintenance
• Healthcare environment experience preferred.

Required Education:

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training preferred.

Hourly Rate: $34.75 - $37.62

The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
