Job summary

Iws-Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the Facilities Department at Newark, NJ 07102. The role focuses on general repairs, preventative maintenance, and routine upkeep across school facilities to ensure safe, functional spaces.

You will perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical tasks, carpentry, painting, and sheetrock work, reporting to the Facilities Manager and coordinating with staff and contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Experience with carpentry, painting, and sheetrock.
• General mechanical knowledge.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable and able to work independently.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with maintenance staff, management, and outside contractors.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the facility.
• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and sheetrock repairs.

Location: Newark, NJ 07102

Employment Type: Full-Time / On-Site

Schedule: Monday through Friday8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.00/hourly

Hours: 40 hours per week

Position Summary
