Job summary

Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Dundalk, MD is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to maintain the building, including electrical, HVAC, carpentry and plumbing.

Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, you will perform routine tasks, assist with projects, and work flexible on-call hours; candidates should have 5+ years of commercial or institutional experience and a journey-level certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points.
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial or institutional maintenance experience.
• Journey-level certification.
• Must lift 100 lbs. and operate ladders and equipment.
• Flexible on-call hours.
• Practicing Catholic preferred.

Job description

Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, located in Dundalk, MD, seeks candidates for a Maintenance Technician. Under general direction of the Facilities Manager, the full-time Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the maintenance of the building. This includes the primary fields of electrical, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, and plumbing. Must have the ability to work flexible on call hours.

Essential Functions

• Performs basic and routine maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.
• Assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures and moving furniture or materials within the facilities.

Position Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with no more than 3 current points.
• A minimum of 5 years of commercial or institutional experience in the identified primary field.
• Possession of journey-level certification.
• Must be able to move furniture, equipment and other materials weighing up to and more than 100lbs.; to move about within very tight spaces where large and potentially dangerous equipment is stored; to operate various types of manual and power tools and automated systems; and to ascend/descend a ladder as needed.
• Ability to work flexible on call hours.
• Practicing Catholic preferred.

Pay Rate: $23.00, Hourly
