Job summary

Sacred Heart Parish in Reisterstown, MD is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to oversee building upkeep. Under the Facilities Manager, you’ll work across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs to ensure safe, reliable facilities.

Requirements include a High School diploma, 5 years of commercial or institutional maintenance, a journey-level certification, and a valid driver's license. Must be able to lift 100 lbs and climb ladders. Catholic preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points.
• A minimum of 5 years of commercial or institutional maintenance experience.
• Journey-level certification required.
• Able to move heavy objects (100 lbs+), use tools, and ascend/descend ladders.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic and routine maintenance, construction, and repair tasks per safety standards.
• Assist with facility projects including painting, drywall, carpentry, and fixtures installation.
• Move furniture or materials within the facilities.
• Operate various manual and power tools and automated systems.

Job description

Sacred Heart Parish, located in Reisterstown, MD is seeking candidates for a Maintenance Technician. Under general direction of the Facilities Manager, the full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician will oversee the maintenance of the building. This includes the primary fields of electrical, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, plumbing, etc.

Essential Functions

• Performs basic and routine maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.
• Assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures and moving furniture or materials within the facilities.

Position Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with no more than 3 current points.
• A minimum of 5 years of commercial or institutional experience in the identified primary field.
• Possession of journey-level certification.
• Must be able to move furniture, equipment and other materials weighing up to and more than 100lbs.; to move about within very tight spaces where large and potentially dangerous equipment is stored; to operate various types of manual and power tools and automated systems; and to ascend/descend a ladder as needed.
• Practicing Catholic preferred

Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00, Hourly
