St. Vincent de Paul District Council of Cincinnati seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain safe, functional environments across SVDP properties. You will perform skilled maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks while documenting work orders and ensuring quality workmanship.

The role requires ownership, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to work independently. Travel to multiple facilities in Greater Cincinnati is expected; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, building trades, or related field.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and ability to drive between multiple SVDP locations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance documentation.
• Certification or formal training in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or general building maintenance is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, sound judgment, and exceptional attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance and repairs to interior and exterior building systems, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and minor HVAC tasks.
• Assess maintenance issues, determine appropriate repair solutions, and address root causes to prevent repeat problems.
• Respond to routine and emergency maintenance requests across multiple SVDP facilities in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and proactively identify safety or operational concerns.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects and cost‑effective solutions.
• Monitor work performed by external parties to ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.
