Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician Manager to join our team in the Greater Phoenix Area. This dynamic role combines hands-on repair and maintenance expertise with leadership and scheduling responsibilities. Utilizing our Zoho FSM mobile application, the ideal candidate will ensure quality execution, manage technician workflows, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Scheduling
Coordinate and manage technician schedules via Zoho FSM for site visits, job completion, and quality control (QC) inspections
Finalize and distribute the next day’s schedule by 5:00 PM daily
Monitor production reports in Zoho FSM and resolve any critical issues
Prepare and submit monthly reports via Zoho Expense (gas logs, maintenance logs, expense reports)
Field Work & Technical Expertise
Perform a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks, including:
Carpentry and general repairs
Basic electrical work
Basic plumbing
Painting
Roll-up door maintenance
Minor parking lot and concrete repairs
Independently execute complex tasks with strong problem-solving skills
Lead field operations, interpret scopes of work, and support other technicians
Maintain high productivity (5+ jobs or $3,000 in job value per week average)
Ensure quality control, with no more than 2 QC issues per quarter
Complete 3 days of in-person training, including 1 day of safety training
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to support long-term facility performance
Quality Control & Team Support
Oversee technician performance in Zoho FSM to ensure quality and consistency
Provide hands-on support for tasks that exceed technician capabilities
Continuously improve personal technical skills and knowledge
Quoting & Material Management
Conduct site visits to assess and quote complex projects
Submit detailed proposals through Zoho FSM for client approval
Source materials, obtain competitive quotes, and manage purchases to stay on budget
Approve material purchases within designated limits
General Responsibilities
Document all work orders and QC reports in Zoho FSM
Communicate professionally with dispatch and clients to maintain strong working relationships
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in general maintenance and repairs
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Reliable vehicle (2018 or newer and under 150k miles; monthly stipend provided)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with Zoho FSM or similar work order systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience managing small teams or subcontractors
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
Qualifications
Experience in commercial facility maintenance
Advanced knowledge in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or related trades
Trade certifications (e.g., OSHA, HVAC, electrical)
Familiarity with digital tools like Google Workspace and Zoho FSM
