Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Support plant needs regarding all production equipment, plant support systems, and building systems to achieve production goals and improve process performance and preventive maintenance.
  • Manage troubleshooting and preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability, minimize downtime, and optimize production.
  • Perform duties in a high-volume, high-speed manufacturing environment, including overhauling equipment and installing new equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machines and systems; assist engineering and plant staff with installation and modifications; provide technical support.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance as needed.
  • Support diagnostics of PLC, vision, and motor software systems.
  • Install and modify integrated systems to enhance equipment performance.
  • Coordinate with other departments for maintenance, changeover, testing, and operation.
  • Maintain records in a CMMS, keep work areas safe and clean, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (FDA, EPA, OSHA, ISO, EEOC).
  • Perform other duties as required and participate in special projects.
  • Demonstrate support through effective communication, attitude, dedication, and respect.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Practical knowledge of PLC logic, vision inspection systems, and motor controls.
  • Ability to read procedures, electrical schematics, blueprints, and sketches.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and team collaboration skills with a strong work ethic.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools; strong mechanical aptitude.
Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of experience as a facilities maintenance controls technician on automated assembly equipment.
  • Experience in a clean room environment.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods; occasionally lift objects up to 35 lbs.
  • Travel less than 5% expected.
