Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team in Columbus, OH. This hands-on, entry-level role supports lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and general upkeep, with mentorship from experienced engineers to grow into facility management.

You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure safety and reliability of our buildings. The position offers weekend/holiday flexibility and on-call rotation to meet business needs.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required due to client requirements.
Mechanical aptitude or hands-on maintenance experience in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
High school diploma or GED with strong customer service and communication skills.
Valid driver''s license and ability to travel between sites or to obtain supplies as needed.
Proficiency with hand and power tools safely and effectively; basic computer applications including MS Office, Slack, and email.
Experience with or willingness to learn preventative maintenance procedures and CMMS documentation practices.
Flexibility to work weekends or holidays and participate in on-call rotation for emergencies.

Responsibilities

Perform routine light maintenance activities including filter changes, lighting replacements, site inspections, furniture assembly, and office builds to maintain facility functionality and appearance.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using systematic troubleshooting methods and appropriate tools.
Execute general building maintenance tasks including carpentry, drywall repair, light electrical work, light plumbing, and painting to preserve building integrity.
Assist with HVAC systems maintenance and repairs, supporting the engineering team in keeping climate control systems operational.
Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety compliance.
Complete assigned work orders in the CMMS and maintain accurate service documentation for tracking and reporting.
Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergency response.
