Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure building and grounds meet safety and appearance standards across the property. You will perform service requests, preventative maintenance, and make-ready tasks for vacant units, while maintaining inventory and documenting work for tracking.

You will also help with grounds upkeep, cost-control, and safety compliance, including OSHA-related training and reporting incidents as required.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (applies to certified service technicians).
• All certifications required by State and Local jurisdictions (applies to all service technicians).
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, depending on property size.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests for service and performs preventative maintenance.
• Follows make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspection and punch list.
• Manages materials and inventory from maintenance department, tracks usage, and notifies supervisor for re-orders.
• Completes documentation and paperwork for service requests to enable tracking and accountability.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning, painting curbs, and debris removal.
• Assists in cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing where feasible and using tools correctly.

Education

EPA certified refrigerant handling (Type 1 & II or Universal)
