Job summary

The City of Kingman is seeking a highly capable Facilities Maintenance Specialist to repair, remodel, maintain, and custodialize municipal buildings and properties under the Building Maintenance Operations Supervisor. The role requires solid multi-trade expertise across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, painting, and masonry.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent is required.
• Tech II journey-level certification in electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, etc. is preferred.
• Experience in building maintenance, construction, or repair.
• Supplemental education or technical training in related building maintenance fields encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance across City buildings and properties.
• Handle planning, estimating material and labor needs for projects.
• Supervise maintenance personnel, temporary staff, and contracted workers.
• Ensure safety compliance, maintain logs, and support process improvements.
• Provide strong customer service and clear communication with staff and the public.
