Job summary

Facility Services Management, Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities across multiple sites.

The role requires practical skills in painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work, with responsibilities spanning from replacing belts and filters to painting and minor renovations. The position emphasizes maintaining cleanliness, assisting the maintenance team, and adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years related experience and/or training.
• Must pass a local background check and obtain/maintain NACI/LAC clearance after hire.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces and assist maintenance team as required.

Responsibilities

• Replaces belts and filters on air handling units.
• Patches minor holes/cracks in walls and ceilings using plaster/compound.
• Repairs; replaces sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
• Paints structures and equipment as required.
• Changes ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and other maintenance items as assigned.
• Performs landscape and hardscape tasks, including mowing, trimming, and snow removal.
• Repairs concrete floors, steps and sidewalks.
• Inspects/repairs damaged interior surfaces as needed.
• Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Follows safety, health and accident prevention plan and maintains records timely.
