Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a facilities maintenance worker to care for the site’s buildings, grounds, and equipment. The role includes cleaning, minor repairs, and operating cleaning and snow removal equipment to keep the premises safe and presentable.

Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma or GED with related field experience and a valid driver’s license. The position typically runs Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, on site in Matteson, IL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination with related discipline
• 3 years' experience in a related field or 5 years' experience
• Valid driver's license required; safe driving practices expected

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings, property, and equipment for the site
• Clean and maintain restrooms; remove trash from parking lots
• Operate floor scrubbing machinery and keep auction house floors clean
• Perform routine carpentry, plumbing and basic electrical repairs
• Operate snow removal equipment to keep parking lots and sidewalks clear
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and support Safety Excellence initiatives
