Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician I-Helper to support our operations & maintenance team in New Albany, OH. You will assist higher-level technicians with work orders, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires 1 year of facility maintenance experience, ability to use CMMS, and strong safety awareness. Occasional overtime, weekend shifts, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year facility maintenance experience in related environments.
• Ability to work in aerial lifts up to 30 feet.

Responsibilities

• Assist with facility maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Help diagnose malfunctions in production machinery and equipment.
• Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot overhead doors, pumps, piping, seals and valves.
• Perform general maintenance such as painting and sign hanging.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, and maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance per CMMS.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
• Operate hand tools and other equipment.
• Adapt to day-to-day scheduling for customer needs.
