Job summary

SugarCreek Packing Co. in Indiana is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Technician to perform regular facility maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment.

You will troubleshoot machinery, conduct preventative maintenance, and assist in planning major repairs with Production and Maintenance Management. This role requires following LOTO, maintaining records, keeping work areas clean, and occasional travel between plants in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Regular facility maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Maintenance planning and scheduling with Plant Management.
• Willingness to travel between plants.
• Compliance with safety, food quality and sanitation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and manual repairs on facility premises (e.g. light bulbs, exterior property, snow removal).
• Handle minor plumbing issues like unclogging drains and repairing leaks.
• Address minor carpentry issues such as door handles and wall repairs.
• Assist in troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance (drives, motors, belts, filters).
• Review and complete work orders in a timely manner and maintain maintenance records.
• Follow LOTO procedures at all times and ensure proper adherence by maintenance personnel.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and communicate maintenance issues to Plant Management.
