Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support Columbus, GA operations.

You will respond to work orders, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, fixtures, and systems to keep facilities safe and fully functional. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, hands-on plumbing experience, and 2–3 years QA/QC; journeyman electrician or HVAC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Hands-on plumbing experience is required.
• 2–3 years of QA/QC experience preferred.
• Journeyman electrician certification or HVAC certification preferred.
• Experience in industrial/large commercial or logistics distribution environment preferred.
• Valid driver's license and good standing with state licensing board.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Assist technicians and facilities attendants in handling work orders.
• Create/update task orders and work orders in CMMS.
• Maintain HVAC equipment and building systems.
• Inspect subcontractor work for contract standards and scope.
• Promote safety practices and regulatory compliance.
• Travel to various locations as needed.
