Job summary

City of San Antonio seeks a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to support operations across city facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning, setup for events, and a range of repair tasks from plumbing to electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Clean and set up for events.
• Repair pipelines and patch leaks in hot water and steam lines.
• Repair leaking valves on faucets and address stopped-up sinks, lavatories, and sewer lines.
• Perform carpentry work including concrete forms, doors, benches, and rough/finish carpentry.
• Paint, repair benches and other park facilities; handle floors and fixtures.
• Perform basic electrical repairs: replace switches, bulbs, and ballasts.
• Finish cement curbs, gutters, and replace tiles.
• Assist in fire alarm and traffic signal system installation/maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance for air-conditioning units.
• Change filters, lubricate, and replace belts.
• Keep basic records and prepare reports.
• Fulfill related duties as required.
