Job summary

Archdiocese of San Antonio Careers is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold and repair church buildings, vehicles, grounds and equipment under the Facilities Supervisor.

This on-site role requires completing work orders, inspecting facilities, following safety procedures, and responding to after-hours calls. Travel is approximately 50% local, and a high school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of maintenance experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in maintenance or related field.
• Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
• Good written and verbal skills.
• Good critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and process them. Work cooperatively with staff to schedule and complete repairs.
• Inspect all buildings and facilities and initiate repairs as needed.
• Follow safety procedures to perform job duties including lifting and climbing; operate tools and equipment safely.
• Correct unsafe conditions and report non-immediate issues to supervisor.
• Locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities per established procedures.
