Job summary

ISS Facility Services - North America in Austin seeks an Engineer I to perform routine maintenance on building equipment and systems, respond to service requests, and complete work orders under general supervision.

The role offers full-time hours, with a pay range of $28.00 to $30.00 per hour and a schedule of Mon - Fri plus weekends. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of building maintenance experience and basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of commercial building maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and understand basic blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical instructions.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Troubleshoot basic building equipment and system issues.
• Complete general building repairs (lighting, doors, ceilings, flooring, plumbing fixtures).
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and update work orders in the CMMS.
