Job summary

Sentral is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for an on-site role in Austin, TX. The technician will maintain mechanical equipment, buildings, and systems, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry tasks.

The position requires a strong ownership mindset, customer-focused service, and the ability to work a rotating on-call schedule. This in-person role operates Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proven maintenance experience or related degree from a technical college preferred.
• CPO and HVAC certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize strong customer service in interactions with residents and guests.
• Perform routine maintenance duties including painting, electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections as scheduled.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and implement repairs.
• Repair machines, equipment, or structures as needed.
• Clean interiors and machinery; maintain exterior areas.
• Comply with safety and health regulations; report needs to supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of supplies; liaise with contracted vendors.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and on-call requests.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
