Union County is seeking a skilled Maintenance III / HVAC Technician to join our Facilities team. The role covers HVAC installation, repair, preventive maintenance, and a range of skilled maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building upkeep.

The position emphasizes safe, reliable building operations across county facilities, with responsibilities in diagnostics, calibration, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry training.
• Experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry or building maintenance.
• Three years of equivalent education, training, and experience.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
• Universal EPA Certification.
• Certification in Tracer Summit System Operations.

Responsabilités

• Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions and complete repairs.
• Calibrate thermostatic controls and replace filters and components as needed.
• Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance, including leaks and water systems.
• Complete carpentry such as door/window repair, drywall repair, and hardware.
• Electrical maintenance and repair of motors, pumps, switches, controllers.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned vehicles.
• Complete work orders and maintenance records.
• Assist with grounds maintenance and other facility duties.
