Job summary

Midtown Athletic Clubs in Palatine, IL seeks a Facilities Technician to keep our club safe, clean and functional for members and staff. You will troubleshoot daily facility and fitness equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and handle upkeep of all club property to high standards.

The role requires at least three years in facilities maintenance, knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing or related systems, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in facilities maintenance.
• Knowledge of roofing, mechanical equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry or painting.
• Functional knowledge of preventive maintenance programs for facilities and plant equipment.
• Maintains a certified pool operator designation (highly preferred).
• Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot facility and fitness equipment repair on a daily basis.
• Provide regular upkeep and maintenance of all club property.
• Maintain knowledge of facilities and follow through on preventative maintenance standards.
• Demonstrate a courteous attitude toward members, guests and associates.
