Job summary

CBRE Maintenance Technician role focuses on preventive maintenance for HVAC and building systems, with emphasis on FLS and safety compliance. You will assist with installations, manage work orders, and help energy management while following CBRE procedures.

The position requires 2–3 years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. or more. Certifications are preferred; US work authorization is assumed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Certifications in the field are preferred.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) with a focus on HVAC systems and equipment.
• Support Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems, including inspection and maintenance of fire extinguishers.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Assign work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
• Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Impact the quality of own work.
• Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
