Job summary

AtWork Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Alexandria, VA, to support daily operations by performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections. This role is crucial for ensuring that building systems operate efficiently and safely while providing top-notch service to tenants.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, alongside excellent customer service skills. A high school diploma or GED is required, and a CFC Universal Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• Basic computer skills and experience with work order systems.
• CFC Universal Certification preferred or obtainable within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance and document work in the work order system.
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and grounds; identify and resolve safety or maintenance issues.
• Respond to tenant service requests and emergency calls in a timely manner.
• Maintain fire and life safety systems, including alarms and emergency equipment.
• Perform general building upkeep such as lighting, doors, painting, and minor carpentry.
