Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a General Maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems at client facilities. You will document site conditions, collaborate with account and project managers, and ensure safety and compliance on every site visit.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask.
• Clean driver’s license.
• Ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on building systems and facilities.
• Inspect and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems for optimal operation.
• Monitor building safety systems including fire alarms and sprinklers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they arise.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs or replacements.
• Visit client sites, document equipment and conditions with a mobile app, and record client needs.
