Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a site-based Janitor/Facilities Technician to support the maintenance and engineering department under supervision. The role involves implementing site safety plans, documenting standards, and participating in on-call duties as required.

The position offers afternoons/evening shifts, with pay at $27.23 per hour. Responsibilities include supervising maintenance operations, coordinating repairs, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Maintain and restore vacated apartments to make-ready status, including upgrades and window/door repairs.
• Assist during trash-out and move heavy items to dumpster.
• Perform basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing maintenance and small repairs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preventative maintenance and repairs at the facility.
• Schedule emergency repairs based on priority and staff availability.
• Provide technical support for electric, mechanical, hydraulic systems and safety procedures.
• Inspect equipment and ensure maintenance per AES standards and approved procedures.
• Contribute to the quality assurance program for all department work.
• Improve HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance efficiency.
• Coordinate with vendors for parts, supplies and equipment.
