Job summary

Simon Property Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician at Concord Mills to troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems. You will inspect the facility, carry out minor repairs, paint and perform drywall tasks, while ensuring safety and compliance with standards.

The role requires the ability to read plans, work independently, and communicate effectively with management, tenants and vendors.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 2–3 years building maintenance experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and diagrams.
Ability to present information effectively to management, tenants and others.
Self-starter who can work independently and diagnose problems.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and safety practices.

Responsibilities

Routinely inspect facility, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
Perform maintenance and minor repairs on interior/exterior areas including painting and drywall.
Operate equipment for preventive maintenance and keep the property clean.
Assist Marketing with events and Local Leasing with cart placement/repair.
Follow OSHA standards to promote a safe working environment.
Schedule and perform preventive maintenance programs.
Maintain inventories, records, and safety data sheets.
Inspect air handling units, belts, filters and grease components.
Maintain logs and perform exterior custodial duties as needed.
Gather trash, operate compactor and turn trash carts.
