Job summary

Pensacola State College is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to perform a broad range of maintenance tasks across campuses. The role focuses on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing care, including climate control systems and digital controls, with responsibilities for scheduling, safety, and supply management.

The position is a 12-month full-time career service role, primarily on the Pensacola Campus but may be assigned district-wide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and four years’ experience HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Background check as per Florida statute §435.04(2).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems across district buildings and grounds.
• Ensure security and readiness of buildings; manage supplies and parts.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor and train support staff.
• Work with climate control systems, diagnose and repair digital controls, monitor safety practices.
