Job summary

CHEER, Inc. in Georgetown, DE seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and routine upkeep of the CHEER facilities. The role reports to the Director of Transportation/Facilities and requires hands-on work in buildings and grounds.

The candidate should have at least five years in property maintenance, basic plumbing/electrical knowledge, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Extended hours and occasional weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years experience in maintenance of properties, knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning.
• Ability to lift or exert force up to 50 pounds maximum.
• Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Must have a clean driving record and must complete a Defensive Driving course.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining buildings and grounds.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and handle daily work orders.
• Assist with health and safety standards and respond to emergencies.
• Work on special events as needed.
• Operate from a service van and report to the Facilities Manager.
