Job summary

Jawonio Inc. – NEW CITY, NY is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform a variety of facilities and grounds maintenance tasks at group home locations and the main office.

You will perform minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting as needed, maintain logs and work orders, and ensure clean, safe, and accessible work sites for Jawonio’s consumers, employees, and visitors. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic to intermediate carpentry, electrical, plumbing and masonry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and building exteriors including mowing, landscaping, snow/ice removal.
• Perform minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting repairs.
• Keep logs and work orders; coordinate with Facility Director and vendors as needed.
