Job summary

YMCA of the Black Hills is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Rapid City location to keep buildings safe, functional, and inviting. You will handle electrical, plumbing, HVAC, flooring, basic carpentry, and pool system basics, with a focus on preventive maintenance and efficiency.

The role offers a flexible shift Tuesday–Saturday with afternoon/evening hours, full-time and part-time options, and a benefits package including free staff membership, health, retirement, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining facilities to safety standards.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, functionality, and aesthetics of YMCA facilities.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, flooring, and walls.
• Operate snow removal and outdoor maintenance.
• Document work and communicate with Facilities Director.
• Assist custodial tasks as needed.
