Job summary

CGL Facility Maintenance, LLC is seeking a General Trades Technician in Macon, GA to perform general maintenance and repairs across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and other building systems.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, follow preventive maintenance programs, read blueprints, and uphold safety standards while on-site. A High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related experience are preferred; a valid in-state driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of building repairs and maintenance experience.
• In-state driver's license is required.
• EPA 608 Certification preferred.
• Skilled Trade Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment.
• Responds to service requests including electrical, furnaces, lighting, HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, disposals, general plumbing & fixtures, carpentry, painting, roofing, and other required maintenance items.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines operate smoothly and building conditions remain sound.
• Follows preventive maintenance program for heating and ventilation systems and replaces filters as needed.
• Assists in emergency maintenance including sewage back-ups, water main breaks, fires, and other leaks.
• Assembles, installs, and repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipes, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
• Reads blueprints and repair manuals to determine work and resources required.
• Maintains safety and PPE standards and keeps work area clean.
• Maintains a safe workplace and adheres to safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
