Job summary

Fountain is seeking a Maintenance Generalist in Milwaukee, WI, for a Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM shift with flexibility. The role focuses on repairing building systems, electrical systems, and grounds, while following safety procedures and work orders.

Requires at least three years of general maintenance and a valid driver’s license. The candidate should be able to train junior staff, operate various maintenance equipment, and participate in security and safety tasks.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read labels, directions, work orders, etc.
• Requires minimum three years of general maintenance experience
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
• Ability to work second or third shift, holidays, and weekends as required.
• Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Follows all safety rules and places safety first, ethics second.
• Willingness to submit to background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance of structures.
• Conduct safety checks on heating, cooling and other equipment.
• Interpret and complete work orders with general direction.
• Provide direction and training to less experienced maintenance staff.
• Mix cleaning chemicals per manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain minor electrical devices as needed.
• Operate equipment and groundskeeping tools.
• Inventory furniture and equipment as assigned.
• Assist with security and access control as required.
• Assist in repairs of plant or office structures.
• Comply with all company policies and safety procedures.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as requested.
