Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a Union Helper to perform non-technical general building maintenance, light custodial tasks, and minor repairs across facilities. The role supports preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems, with a focus on carpentry-related tasks and upkeep of common areas.

The position is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, offering opportunities to contribute to the upkeep and improvement of CBRE facilities through hands-on work and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Strong carpentry skills for repairing and constructing structures, furniture and fixtures.
• Experience with lighting systems, bulb replacement, and fixture maintenance.
• Ability to perform general labor, move materials, and support project tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor including loading, unloading, and moving materials.
• Utilize carpentry skills to construct, repair, and maintain structures, furniture, and fixtures.
• Maintain lighting systems, clean fixtures, replace bulbs and lamps.
• Patrol grounds, communal areas, and parking facilities; identify and report hazards.
• Run errands to support projects and maintenance tasks.
• Execute housekeeping to maintain professional appearance of the property and communal areas.
• Paint, patch drywall, and perform carpentry repairs including cabinetry tasks.
• Facilitate office access and moves by moving crates, assembling furniture, and installing fixtures.
• Respond to emergencies and summon additional assistance as needed.
• Prepare meetings and conference rooms, arrange tables, chairs, and setup.
• Set up and dismantle audio/visual equipment in conference rooms.
