Job summary

Southland Health & Rehab is seeking a Maintenance Associate to perform routine and major repairs across facilities, ensuring safe, clean, and functional spaces for residents and staff.

You will handle tasks from HVAC maintenance to electrical work, plumbing, and minor carpentry, with adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Communicates well with associates, patients, family members, and visitors.
• Reads and interprets safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
• Performs basic math calculations and unit conversions for repairs and measurements.
• Proficient with standard office software to document work orders and log tasks.

Responsibilities

• Changes air conditioner/heater filters as scheduled or as needed.
• Performs routine maintenance on air conditioners/heaters and checks concentrator oxygen levels.
• Operates pressure washer and uses electrical tools as appropriate.
• Tests fire alarm systems and extinguishers; assists fire marshal during inspections.
