Job summary

Accela Rehab and Care Center at Somerton in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is seeking a Maintenance Tech with at least 1 year of maintenance experience to join our team.

You will perform plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks, repair equipment, and assist with painting, cleaning, and event preparations while ensuring safety and resident satisfaction.

This full-time role runs 10am-6pm, Monday–Friday, with every other weekend. Salary and benefits information will be provided on request.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
• Conduct repairs and replacements of equipment, fixtures, and appliances
• Assist with general maintenance duties, such as painting, cleaning, and preparing areas for special events
• Respond to resident and staff requests for maintenance and repair services
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Demonstrate a commitment to resident satisfaction and safety
