Job summary

PowerBack Rehabilitation in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and presentable. You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks and support the facility team to ensure a comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Role involves minor repairs to building systems, changing HVAC filters, handling supplies, and stepping in for the Maintenance supervisor when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition with a pleasing appearance.
• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.
